“Follow The Tracks” - Timber Wolf, 24”h x 20”w. 2021
I have just shipped this new painting to the Thomas Anthony Gallery in Park City, UT ready to be displayed!
I wanted to take another look at this wolf sketch from 2019. I repainted the wolf and the background and it is a great improvement. Just emerging from a path in the woods, this boy turned to check me out as I approached him.
“The Sentry” - Timber wolf Acrylic on board, 30”h x 24”w, 2021
“Mindful of the Prize - Timber Wolf Acrylic on board, 20”h x 24”w, 2021
This timber wolf had grabbed a bone from the rest of the pack and was anxious to keep her trophy!
“Up Close and Personal” - Timber Wolf, Acrylic on board 16”h x 20”w 2021
This is one of my favourite Timber wolves. His expression was so inscrutable here and I certainly wasn’t going to get any closer!
“Distracted” - Timber Wolf Acrylic on board, 18”h x 24”w, 2021
It was such a cold day when this boy came out of the trees and turned when he heard a sound. He has such a beautiful thick coat in mid-winter.
“Evensong” - Timber Wolf, acrylic on Baltic birch, 22”h x 22”w, 2020 SOLD
I had just caught the end of the light for the day as this boy started howling. It is such a awe-inspiring and haunting sound! “Evensong” was no sooner finished than it was sold to a client in Boise, Idaho. He now owns three lovely wolf portraits.
“Those Eyes” - Timber Wolf, acrylic on Baltic birch, 36”h x 36”w, 2020, US$7,500
I finished the painting of this gorgeous black timber wolf in time to send it to the Thomas Anthony Gallery before Christmas. This boy always has the most intense expression and I find it mesmerizing!
“Calm Before The Storm” - Timber Wolf, acrylic on board, 36”h x 36”w, 2020
“Calm Before the Storm is finally finished. The wolf’s fur took me forever with all the subtle colours and textures, but I love how it came out.
“On The Look Out”, acrylic on board, 30”h x 40”w, 2020
“On The Look Out” is my first painting of Arctic Wolves and these 2 boys were always together and always vigilant. This is another of the larger paintings to go to the Thomas Anthony Gallery in October.
“Watchful” has sold to a client in Boise, Idaho through the Thomas Anthony Gallery in Park City, UT. I am excited that there is some walk-in traffic in Park City now. The timber wolf herself was about 18 months old when I photographed her. She had just heard something in the woods behind me and was all eyes and ears to see what it might be. She was curious and focused but not nervous or growling. I really love her colouring and find her face to be so expressive.
“Watchful” - Timber Wolf, acrylic on board, 18” x 18”, 2020.
“Hot on The Trail” - Timber Wolf, acrylic on board, 40”h x 30”w, 2020
“Hot On The Trail” is one of four larger wolf paintings I am working on to send to the gallery in October and November. I enjoy the intensity of this Timber Wolf’s stare.
“The Challenge” - Timber Wolf, acrylic on board, 28” x 28”, 2020.
“The Challenge” is finished and is being shipped to the Thomas Anthony Gallery today. I am not sure I would want to argue with this character on a mountain path…
I am excited to anounce that “Queen of All She Surveys” has sold through the Thomas Anthony Gallery in Park City, Utah and shipped to her new owner in California.
